In view of the novel coronavirus epidemic, majority of events of the 72nd Hong Kong Schools Music Festival scheduled from 24 February to 25 March 2020 were cancelled. Full refund of the entry fees and alteration fees for the sessions concerned will be made to members of the Association, except for post-secondary students who could collect the refund on their own.
Due to the large number of participants, the refund arrangements will be carried out by two phases right after the refund of Speech Festival. Refunds of fees to members of kindergartens and primary schools will be arranged between 25 May and 12 June 2020, while refunds of fees to members of secondary schools, special schools, Associate Members, music tutors members and post-secondary students will take place between 22 June and 13 July 2020. Participants of the cancelled sessions please contact the members that entered them to the Festival for refund in due course. Details of the refund arrangement will be given to the members concerned in the letter of refund issued on 20 March 2020. In view of the latest development of the novel coronavirus and school suspension, the Association has extended the cheque collection deadline to 31 March 2020. Members or the delegated persons please collect the cheque in person by presenting the original Letter of Refund issued by the Association at the Association office.
