Eligibility
Any Hong Kong permanent resident who is aged 21 or above, a holder of a valid HKID card, a full-time in-service and Hong Kong registered Chinese Language / English Language / Music teacher of a Hong Kong primary / secondary school with at least 10 years of Chinese Language / English Language / Music teaching experience; and meets any requirements on professional qualification listed below is eligible to apply for the Associate Membership of the Association. [A primary / secondary school refers to a school which provides primary / secondary education under the Education Ordinance of Hong Kong.]
Chinese Speech

English Speech
A holder of certificate(s) in Speech/Drama training issued by local or overseas institute(s) recognized by the Association with at least five years of experience in training students in speech performance.
Music
1. |
A holder of Licentiate (or above) performance diploma(s) issued by the Royal Schools of Music/ Trinity College of Music or the equivalent, or recognized music degree(s);OR

2. |
A holder of performance level certificate(s) of the Central Conservatory of Music Practical Examination, or a graduate of recognized music institute(s);OR
|
3. |
Of a high performing standard recognized by the Association and with at least 10 years of performing experience.

Application Dates
For the purpose of entering students to the Speech Festival held in November to December, the application should reach the Association office no later than 31 July of the same year.
For the purpose of entering students to the Music Festival held in February to March, the application should reach the Association office no later than 31 August of the previous year.
